Get Ready For 2013...

2013 is right around the corner and we have a preview of some of the rebates that will be made available by GasNetworks for high efficiency heating equipment! Rebates are available to natural gas customers of GasNetworks member utilities who have qualifying equipment purchased and installed between January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. All installations must be installed by a licensed contractor and/or plumber. All installations are subject to verification that equipment has been installed properly and is operational.

Here's a look at some of the rebates that will be available:

BOILERS - HTP (click here for products)
  • Natural Gas Boilers: (AFUE 96%+) $1,500
  • Natural Gas Boilers: (AFUE 90%+) $1,000

HRV - LIFEBREATH (click here for products)
  • Heat Recovery Ventilators: $500

WATER HEATERS - HTP (click here for products)
  • Combined Boiler/Water Heater: (AFUE 90%+) $1,200
  • Indirect Water Heaters: $400
  • On-Demand Water Heater: (.94 EF+) $800
  • On-Demand Water Heater: (.82 EF+) $500
  • Condensing Gas Water Heater: (95%+ Thermal Efficiency) $100
  • High Efficiency Storage Tank: (ENERGY STAR Qualified .67 EF+) $100

BOILER RESET - TACO (click here for products)
  • After-Marker Boiler Reset Control: $250

Emerson Swan offers several products that qualify for the rebates shown above. For more information or help in deciding which product offers that greatest benefits, call us at (800) 346 - 9215. Watts RadiantPERT Tubing

RadiantPERT | Polyethylene Raised Temperature Tubing with Oxygen Barrier

What Is Radiant PERT?
PE-RT stands for Polyethylene Raised Temperature. RadiantPERT is manufactured with DowlexTM 2344, which offers high strength, high temperature resistance, and long life without crosslinking. PE-RT tubing is constructed with five layers of material. The core and outermost layer are PE-RT, and sandwiched in the middle is an integral ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) oxygen barrier. At the same time the five-layer tubing  is more flexible and easier to install than other piping materials used in hydronic radiant heating, cooling, snow melting, and distribution piping applications. PE-RT has been used successfully for nearly 30 years in radiant heating applications.

5 layer RadiantPERT offers several benefits over other piping materials:
  • Greater flexibility
  • The outer PE-RT layer protects the oxygen barrier from job-site abuse and moisture
  • Easier to pull through joists and confined spaces
  • Recyclable material
  • Proven Performance
  • 30 year track record
  • Rated to 180 °F at 100 psi
You may use RadiantPERT as distribution piping for:
  • Radiant heating/cooling systems
  • Snow melting systems
  • Radiators
  • Baseboard
  • Fan coils or kickspace heaters

For hydronic heating, cooling, snow melting and distribution piping

RadiantPERT is certified to ASTM F2623 for Polyethylene of Raised Temperature (PE-RT) SDR 9 Tubing by NSF. This standard includes requirements and testing methods for materials, workmanship, dimensions, sustained hydrostatic pressure strength, and bend strength.
  • RadiantPERT meets or exceeds these standards.
  • RadiantPERT is tested and listed to NSF-14 (rfh).
  • Maximum operating temperature and pressure:
     - 200 psi at 73° F
     - 100 psi at 180° F
  • PPI TR-4 listing at 73° F and 180° F
  • RadiantPERT is certified to the Uniform Mechanical Code.
