Installing A Kickspace Heater Is A Breeze With Our Hose Kits

The concept behind the Smith's Kickspace hose kit accessory was that a homeowner who has spent a lot of money on kitchen or bathroom cabinets just doesn’t want an installer cutting them up more than is necessary. The Quick Fit Hose Kit provides a means of installing any Quiet-One kickspace heater without having to cut out an access panel in the bottom of the cabinet; it makes Quiet-One kickspace units easier to install as all solder work can be done and all tube connections can be made before the installer slides the Quiet-One into its final resting place under the cabinet; and imagine that, in the unlikely event that service is required, the installer can now pull the kickspace out into the middle of the floor rather than climb into the cabinet.

Each fully packaged kit includes:

  • 8’ of 1/2″ Watts Radiant ONIX synthetic hose with DIN standard oxygen barrier
  • four 3⁄8” barb x 1⁄2″ sweat tee
  • two 1/2″ copper elbows
  • two 1/2″ copper couplings
  • four 3⁄8″ self tite clamps

The High Efficiency Crossover Wall Water Heater

The best of both a tank and tankless water heater combined into one superior unit. The Crossover Wall allows you to enjoy the benefits of a high efficiency unit without surrendering your need for endless hot water and abundant water pressure. The crossover design prevents spontaneous bursts of cold water, which are typical for most tankless water heaters. As user demand increases, the Crossover can provide hot water at higher pressures for multiple fixtures and has built-in recirculation capabilities.

In the video below, Richard Trethewey from Ask This Old House returns to a home he visited four years earlier to replace a faulty water heater with an HTP high efficiency Crossover tankless water heater.

Rubber Expansion Joints Are Like Tires

They need to be inspected regularly! Just like tires, they need to be replaced based on use and wear. Have you inspected your rubber expansion joints lately?

The Fluid Sealing Association recommends replacing non-fatigued joints every 5-10 years based on the application. Note, that if the expansion joint is fatigued, they will need to be replaced even more frequently than that. Below is a list of fatigue signs that indicate the expansion joint should be REPLACED IMMEDIATELY!
  • Major blisters, deformations, and/or ply separations
  • Cracking where the fabric is exposed and torn
  • The metal reinforcement is visible through the cover
  • The joint feels soft or gummy from rubber deterioration
  • Leakage or weeping is occurring from any surface of the expansion joint

Make sure your system is safe and running at peak performance. Whether you are replacing an old EJ or installing a new one, install Twin City Hose rubber expansion joints with confidence! Applications include, but are not limited to commercial HVAC systems, industrial piping systems, power plants, marine systems, sewage treatment plants, and waste water systems.

Modine Horizontal Electric Heater

Modine electric unit heaters provide a wide variety of options in solving comfort-heating problems. Each is designed for long heat-throw, uniform heat-delivery and reduced maintenance. Horizontal models feature hinged bottom panels for easy control access and are recommended for use in buildings where ceilings are low and with few obstructions. These models are normally placed around the perimeter of the building so that the air stream from each heater "wipes" the wall to produce a blanket of warm air along the building's outside walls where heat loss is greatest.

Features

  • Deflector blades can be adjusted to lengthen or shorten heat throw as well as direct heated air up or down
  • Optional vertical deflector blades deflect air either to the left or right, permitting complete directional control over air discharge
  • Terminal and junction boxes provide easy access to: heating-element terminals, overheat control switch, the unit's power supply and control connections.
  • Motors are enclosed and protected from thermal overload
  • Fans are statically and dynamically balanced
  • An automatically re-setting overheat control interrupts the power supply to the heating elements in the event of overheating. This control resets once the element is at a safe temperature
  • Fan and motor assemblies are exposed and can be removed without lowering the unit heater
  • Made in the USA
