Keen Home Introduces New Temp Sensors

Keen Home has an exciting new offering to it's Smart Vent product line. Introducing Temp Sensors. With Temp Sensors, your Keen Zoning System knows the temperature of each room and can react automatically to improve your comfort.

A Smart Vent can sense duct temperature and create a relative temperature difference between rooms. With Temp Sensors, now you can set an exact temperature target for each individual room.

You can add a Temp Sensor to a room with a Smart Vent to create a virtual thermostat for that room in the Keen Home app. With a virtual thermostat, you can set a temperature limit where your Smart Vents will automatically close before the room temperature overshoots the thermostat target.

New Boiler Feed, Backflow Preventer & Combination Valves by Taco

Taco Comfort Solutions has expanded its line of boiler feed valves to provide contractors with a greater number of economical choices while also improving safety, function and convenience.

The new Taco brass boiler feed and dual check backflow preventer with atmospheric vent is available as a combination unit, or the boiler feed valve and backflow preventer can each be purchased individually.

Designed for use in hydronic heating systems, the combination unit prevents heating system water from flowing back into the supply water if supply pressure falls below heating system pressure. It also offers simple pressure setting adjustment between 10 and 25 psi which is separate from the exclusive, lockable fast fill lever.

This unit provides installers with a convenient, complete solution for new systems or as a seamless replacement for units in the field.

The combination valve is available with ½-inch cast iron union sweat or union NPT feed valve with a brass backflow. It is also available with ½-inch or ¾-inch brass union sweat or union NPT feed valve with a brass backflow. The backflow preventer, if purchased separately, is available in ½-inch or ¾-inch union sweat or union NPT.

Taco now also offers brass boiler feed valves in ½-inch and ¾-inch union sweat or union NPT.
